The (almost) Finished Room
Just the carpet to get laid, then shopping (yay) for blinds and a lampshade. Thank God it's done :)

The Room, Half Finished

I'm In Heaven
and the reason? I have a shiny new toy, a Virgin Media + box. As I work a shift that would make even the hardiest early-morning person crumble, I decided to upgrade my VM box. I'm sick of missing every worthwhile piece of tv (and God knows, it's not a lot) because I'm asleep by 7.30pm at the latest. I'm a tv addict as much as I am a bookworm, I only wish I could read and watch tv at the same time. So for the last 2 days I have enjoyed watching programs I usually miss, or have to watch when repeated. I wonder if the novelty will ever wear off. After I organised the installation, I told No.1 son, and said that if we buy an HD ready tv we would also get HD channels as it's an HD box. He proceeded to inform me that our tv is HD ready. Doh!
On a side note, I have lost another half a stone, although I'm craving chocolate and Indian takeaway, I've been very good. I even managed my nephews birthday party without eating all the cakes my Mum had made. And they all looked delicious. I think my Mum is a Nigella clone.
Sugar gave us a fright last weekend. She had a seizure. Scariest thing EVER! The vet said we'll just have to see if she has any more, and I've been watching her like a hawk ever since. She's been fine so far, so fingers crossed. They say that a dog has no recollection of a seizure, but how do they know that? Did they sit a dog down after one and ask if it remembered anything? Bark once for yes :)
