Vintage Car Show part 1
Before giving the ceiling the first (of many) coats of paint I took a well deserved break from my changing rooms groundhog day, and took the boys down to the Vintage Car Show at Leven Beach. The weather was great, which made the thought of more decorating nightmarish. Luckily it went overcast as we were leaving, it's worse being stuck indoors working when it's nice outside.

Changing Rooms
It took me 8 hours to get the old wallpaper off and that was using a steam stripper. The previous tenant had written a date on the bare wall, 1985. I think there was about 20 years worth of paint on top of the old paper. I'm starting to feel like I'm in a Changing Rooms groundhog day. I'm so impatient, I just want it finished yesterday!

40 Commando Royal Marines
My sister's best friend married a Marine, after a whirlwind romance, they had a secret wedding 14 years ago. They have a gorgeous little girl, and Leona and Steve were fantastic parents, she's a wee smasher. Last week I attended Steve's funeral. He had been posted to Sangin in Afghanistan. I've never been to a military funeral before, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but they gave him a great send off. There were so many Marines there, and I'm sure there were many more that were unable to attend. He was such a well respected soldier, and obviously highly thought of by everyone he worked with. But first and foremost, he was a husband and father, and irreplaceable in the hearts of his family. I can't imagine the heartache of losing someone so dear, so loved, and so respected by all. May he rest in peace ٠•●♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥●•٠
